Modern day slavery policy

Two people in a professional discussion, one taking notes.

Alison Wilson Associates Ltd provides occupational health and counselling services, supporting organisations and individuals through professional health assessments, wellbeing services, and therapeutic support.

Our operations are primarily remotely based and professional services focused, operating within the United Kingdom. While the risk of modern slavery within our direct operations is considered low, we acknowledge that risks may exist within wider supply chains and outsourced services.

Our Commitment

We are committed to:

  • Acting      with honesty, fairness, and transparency in all business dealings.
  • Maintaining      a working environment that respects dignity, equality, and human rights.
  • Ensuring      all workers are employed voluntarily and are free to leave employment in      accordance with applicable laws.
  • Complying      fully with UK employment legislation and professional ethical standards.

Policies and Procedures

To support our commitment, Alison Wilson Associates Ltd maintains policies and procedures that promote ethical working practices, including:

  • Equal      Opportunities and Anti-Discrimination Policy
  • Recruitment      and Selection Procedures
  • Safeguarding      and Professional Conduct Standards
  • Whistleblowing      Policy
  • Data      Protection and Confidentiality Policies

These policies help ensure fair treatment, safe working conditions, and appropriate reporting mechanisms.

Recruitment Practices

We operate robust recruitment procedures designed to ensure that:

  • All      contractors have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Identity      and eligibility checks are completed before employment begins.
  • No      recruitment fees are charged to workers.
  • Employment      terms are clearly communicated and agreed voluntarily.

We work only with reputable recruitment agencies that are expected to comply with UK employment legislation and ethical labour standards.

Supply Chain Management

Although our supply chain is limited and primarily consists of professional services, office suppliers, and clinical service providers, we expect all suppliers and partners to operate responsibly and in compliance with applicable labour laws.

Where appropriate, we seek assurance that suppliers share our commitment to preventing modern slavery and exploitation.

Training and Awareness

We promote awareness of safeguarding, professional ethics, and responsible working practices within our organisation. Staff are encouraged to raise concerns if they suspect unethical behaviour, exploitation, or unsafe working conditions.

Reporting Concerns

Alison Wilson Associates Ltd encourages associates, and partners to report any concerns relating to modern slavery or unethical conduct. Reports can be made confidentially through internal management channels or via the company’s whistleblowing procedures.

All concerns will be taken seriously and investigated appropriately.

Continuous Improvement

We are committed to reviewing and improving our practices to ensure ongoing compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and to strengthen ethical standards within our organisation and supply chain.

Approval
