Clinical Governance Framework Policy

Clinical Governance Framework

Our clinical governance model is built around five core pillars:

  1. Clinical Competence and      Accreditation
  2. Data Protection and      Confidentiality
  3. Evidence‑Based Practice      and Continuous Improvement
  4. Audit and Quality      Assurance
  5. Transparent      Communication and Accountability

All clinical practitioners, including Occupational Health Advisors, Consultants, Physiotherapists, Counsellors, and CBT/EMDR Specialists, are appropriately qualified, insured, and registered with their respective governing bodies (NMC, HCPC, or Faculty of Occupational Medicine). Copies of all professional registrations and insurance certificates are verified and renewed annually as part of our compliance process.

Clinical Supervision and Peer Review

Our Occupational Health Nurses and associated clinicians operate under a continuous supervision framework. Regular clinical supervision sessions are held to review case complexity, professional practice, and adherence to ethical standards. All partners within our referral network (e.g. physiotherapy, counselling, CBT, EMDR, coaching) are subject to periodic peer review and case audits, ensuring quality alignment with our organisational standards.

We also conduct case audits on a quarterly basis, evaluating report accuracy, clinical reasoning, and client satisfaction metrics. Where improvement opportunities are identified, learnings are shared with the entire team and built into ongoing CPD training plans.

Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

Every clinician engaged in service delivery participates in mandatory CPD. This includes:

  • OH Advisors – minimum      30 hours per year (aligned with NMC guidance)
  • OH Physicians – CPD and      revalidation per Faculty of Occupational Medicine standards
  • Therapists and      Physiotherapists – ongoing training per HCPC and CSP requirements

We actively encourage attendance at national OH conferences, workshops, and webinars to ensure clinical currency and awareness of evolving health legislation and research.
